Handrails
We always have a bit of a rush to complete for Christmas and this was no exception.Like many of the properties we work on this was a listed building without a straight line in the place. This particular handrail required a lot of on site templating and accurate measurements but i am pleased to say both handrails fitted first time. The design was inspired by the exposed timber and is based around joinery methods and a hammer texture to seamlessly blend into the property.
Many Handrails have left the workshop over the years but this is the first one we have made for a tower in a palace. Forged finials, a shadow rail and riveted detailing this piece fitted the location perfectly Being a square tower the main runs were straight but the corners provided a unique challenge and plenty of templating. Its safe to say it took some head scratching but as always we completed works with a quality fit.
